Home remedies to treat dry hair
Everyone wants to have healthy, lustrous, and shiny hair. There are many products out there that can help you tackle this condition. However, for those who prefer natural treatments, a few ingredients from the kitchen can make a difference.
Many of us have dry, fragile, thin, fine, brittle hair naturally. If you are someone who is battling to handle your dry hair, consider using a few natural methods.
- Eggs
Use one whole egg and mix it with olive oil and 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar. Stir this mixture well and put it on your hair for 30 minutes. Rinse this mixture off your hair with cold water and a mild shampoo.
Another egg mask can be made with honey and yogurt. Mix 1 tablespoon of honey and 2 tablespoons of unsweetened yogurt to an egg white. Stir this mixture until you get a paste and apply it to your hair. Keep this mask on for 40 minutes and rinse it off with a mild conditioner and cold water. - Honey and vegetable oil
Condition your hair with honey and vegetable oil. This smoothens and leaves your hair with a shiny look. Mix two tablespoons of vegetable oil and two tablespoons of honey. Apply this mixture to your hair for 15 minutes and rinse it off with a mild shampoo and cold water. - Rice milk and honey paste
Nourish your hair with this one effective trick. Add 1 cup of rice milk to 2 teaspoons of honey and mix the contents well. Put this mask on your hair for 15 minutes and cover it with plastic wrap. Rinse it off with a normal conditioner and cold water. - Avocado banana mask
If you are looking for a remedy that seals moisture in the hair and increases elasticity, this mask is perfect. This makes your hair stronger and softer. Mash 1 ripe banana and 1 ripe medium-sized avocado. Mix the contents until it has a paste-like consistency. Apply this mixture to your hair and allow it to set for 30 minutes. Wash this mixture with lukewarm water. - Beer conditioning
Use wheat beer or lager to rinse your hair. Do not use any shampoo before this. The beer conditioning method leaves your hair with a shiny, smooth, and lustrous finish. - Tea honey mix
For this special mask, you can use flavored tea bags or powders like pomegranate, chamomile, peach, green, mint, etc. Boil the tea bag with water for 5 minutes and keep it aside. Now add some honey and apply it to your hair to get rid of dry hair. - Egg shampoo
Mix one egg with the usual amount of shampoo you use. Mix the paste well and wash your hair with it. This is an amazing way to treat your hair with proteins. However, ensure you rinse your hair thoroughly as the egg could leave a stench.
