Soaps That Cause Eczema
Eczema is an itchy reaction you feel on the skin that can be inflammation. It is atopic dermatitis that usually develops during early childhood. It mainly occurs in kids who have a family history of this condition. A rush is the main symptom that will apply to the skin of the arms and any other place. Part of the leading triggers of this condition are the following soaps:
1. Soaps with botanical oils
Botanical soap bars consist of a signature blend of botanical oils and herbs. It fills a room with a fresh aroma from the ranch. It is primarily organic, thus making it become certified organic ingredients. However, some of its ingredients can be dangerous for your skin. The skin gets damaged by propylene glycol, formaldehyde, fragrance, and salicylic acid. Get child eczema treatments that are suitable to heal the condition. Also, get teen eczema treatment if they get to use this soap and get affected.
2. Antibacterial soaps
The antibacterial soaps are suitable for daily bathing. However, patients suffering from Eczema can be majorly affected by using too much of it. Consider going for child eczema treatments and teen eczema treatments.
3. Strong fragrance soaps
Soaps that have a strong fragrance are dangerous for the skin. Consider going for natural preservatives such as neem oil. Also, consider using extracts from grapefruit seeds. It is because they are less irritating on the skin. Fragrances trigger eczema flare-ups no matter the scent or how soft it can be.
4. Soaps with cocamidopropyl betaine
Most cleaning detergents contain Cocamidopropyl Betaine as a chemical compound. Some people are allergic to this detergent. Patients suffering from Eczema should not use soaps with CAPB. The American Contact Dermatitis Society declared it the allergen of the year in 2004. It is because of two impurities that are part of its manufacturing process. The two impurities are 3-dimethylaminopropylamine and amino amide. These are DMAPA and AA, respectively. Soaps that contain these impurities irritate the skin that leads to Eczema. It is therefore advisable to avoid using products with these chemicals.
5. Soaps containing Methylchloroisothiazolinone (MCI) and methylisothiazolinone (MI)
These are preservative mixtures that have a combination of MCI/MI of 3/1. They are mostly part of the ingredients of detergents such as soaps and shampoos. Other dermatological products mainly include sunscreens and cleaning detergents. When you use too many of these reagents, you can get skin irritation. Too much concentration of MCI and MI can cause chemical burns on the skin.
6. Soaps with propylene glycol
The ingredients of Propylene Glycol PG are from natural gas. Natural gas is odorless and colorless. It is also completely soluble in water. You can use it in various applications depending on the grade and concentration. It can be toxic to use a highly concentrated soap that has these ingredients. It will damage your skin.
Having skin irritation can be painful and uncomfortable. Therefore, you should protect yourself by avoiding soaps with such chemicals. Additionally, you can consider getting the best medication to cure the condition.
